How to live This Florida Life

It’s been five years… five whole years since I began ThisFloridaLife. Something meant as a fun hobby and a love song of sorts to my home state has became a way of life for me. But best of all it is a way for me to connect with thousands of amazing people.

This year my resolution is to swim in spring water or salt water at least once a month. So far in 2017 I have kept that resolution swimmingly (pun intended).

I started 2017, on New Year’s Day, at Cocoa Beach. February I celebrated my birthday at Wekiva Island. March I experienced an amazing week long cruise aboard Norwegian Cruise Line’s Getaway ship, representing Parrotheads of all kinds and enjoying the Margaritaville at Sea!

April brought us a marvelous beach day at New Smyrna. A beautiful spring day made for a delightful dip in DeLeon Springs. And June marked an incredible day in paradise at SeaWorld’s Discovery Cove.

2017 has been an incredible year full of blessings of Florida Life lived right and many other blessings as well.

So what does it take to live This Florida Life? After five years of writing about it, I’ll say this: look to the bright side of life and be willing to explore beyond the stereotypical things with which Florida is associated. Diversify your Florida experiences, there’s so much out there!

Like many bloggers, I don’t write or post as often as I intend to, but I have found that I can share my love of Florida fairly well through my two favorite social media channels: Instagram and Twitter, both @thisfloridalife. So be sure to enjoy This Florida Life with me there!
