Nearly five years ago I started ThisFloridaLife. I simply wanted to share my love of Florida and use my blog as a vehicle for exploring my own beloved home state. It’s been an incredible journey and it’s about to get better.
Over the years I’ve contributed to Orlando Informer and Touring Plans. Both websites are invaluable Orlando vacation planning tools. So many talented people contribute to these sites.
A few months ago I departed Orlando Informer. I couldn’t find a way to balance writing for both sites and felt Touring Plans fit my needs a little better.
Flash forward to a few weeks ago. I received a promotion at work. And I went on an incredible cruise aboard Norwegian Cruise Line as an invited guest to share the outstanding offerings on board, particularly the Margaritaville at Sea. When we returned home I received the news of some more changes at the work place. Things are progressing rapidly in my personal life too.
My life has changed. My schedule has changed dramatically; I have a lot less free time. I’ve made the decision to depart Touring Plans.
This means for the first time in about five years I will not write for any theme park planning websites. It’s a strange feeling.
I’ll still go to the theme parks, though not as often, and I’ll still post to social media but it will be purely on my channels.
I want to return to exploring all of Orlando and Florida at large, not just the theme parks. Time is precious. I’m choosing to spend it more wisely.

I’ve also been offered the opportunity to contribute to Orlando Date Night Guide a few times a month. I’ve admired this website for years. It is an honor to join the great group of people who work on this site and represent my hometown here. This will be a better fit for my schedule and the type of content I want to share with you.
I’m excited for the future. There’s a lot to look forward to. Thank you for following along as I live ThisFloridaLife!
