First came the Wizarding World of Harry Potter, and theme parks were changed forever. This themed land inside Universal’s Islands of Adventure represented the first time a domestic theme park re-created a world inside a movie in perfect detail. Then came Cars Land in Disney’s California Adventure – AMAZING! Now the world waits for “New Fantasyland”, an epic relaunch of the most popular section of the most popular theme park in the world: Magic Kingdom.

can’t wait!!
I can’t wait. We are regular theme park attendees. Just in time for the winter holidays.
Wow – didn’t even know this was in the works! I finally got around to visiting the Wizarding World of HP, and it blew me away.
Yes, they have been working on New Fantasyland for about two or three years now. Part of it is open now, an area called Storybook Circus took over the area where Mickey’s Toontown once was. Dumbo has now doubled in size and offers Fastpasses (soooooo weird). Once this major phase opens in December there will be two more additions to open, the Princess Fairy Tale Hall (or something like that) in 2013 and the Seven Drawfs Mine Cart roller coaster in 2014.
Anyhow, Disney is answering Universal’s Harry Potter in two ways: New Fantasyland and Cars Land (in California, it is amazing!!). However, Universal is answering once again with working on Phase 2 of Harry Potter taking over where Jaws used to be. They will connect the two parks with Hogwarts Express train.
