Weekends are precious time. Much needed rest, time for my family, time for housework, and time for myself are juggled during my weekends. And even though I struggle with making the most of these precious two days, a few times a month I make time for my new favorite Sunday tradition: Namaste and Drink at Red Cypress Brewery.

Red Cypress is a crown jewel of Winter Springs, Florida. This Seminole County town is relatively quiet, and very family friendly. Red Cypress Brewery is in an unassuming shopping plaza and is definitely the main attraction.

Yoga at Red Cypress
At 11:30 AM every Sunday, yoga enthusiasts and beginners roll out their yoga mats among the production area inside Red Cypress Brewery. Edison style bulbs hang over head. Large, shiny tanks and rustic barrels flank a concrete floor as everyone listens intently to the yoga instructor.
This location is very special for me, because it is this very spot at which I married my husband. In the middle of Red Cypress’s production area, where great local craft beer is born, I said my vows to my amazing husband. We got married here because we had our first date here (and because it was unique and affordable).
Yoga + Beer
Yoga here lasts one hour. Bring your own mat and a water bottle. Afterwards everyone heads into the tap room and orders a Red Cypress brew of their choice. For $10 you get the yoga session and a Red Cypress beer – select from any Red Cypress draft selections.
Many of the class attendees gather and enjoy their beer together. Others sit back and enjoy the tap room as other customers begin to pour in. It’s a great way to enjoy the weekend and take some time for yourself. Maybe I’ll see you there – I’ll be the one that repeatedly goes back to child’s pose when things get challenging.
